Why do Local Authorities choose Timberplay?
For over a decade, Timberplay have been working closely with Local Authorities to produce excellent play spaces.
We understand the struggles that Local Authorities face when planning and organizing a new play space:
Unrealistic maintenance budgets - We aim to provide you with robust, durable low maintenance equipment to fit in with tight maintenance budgets.
The need to repair quickly - We offer a great spare parts service. Richter holds €1,000,000 of spare parts in Germany and a large amount of frequently used spare parts in Sheffield. We aim to get these parts to you as soon as possible reducing downtime of your play space in busy periods.
Procurement processes - We understand that this can be a long drawn out process. We can help you to speed this process up by suggesting to reduce the amount of detail and to accept conceptual designs.
Antisocial behavior/Vandalism - Quite a lot of antisocial behavior occurs when the children are not happy with the playground or the space and equipment is not suitable for them to use. We design our playgrounds for users to take ownership of them. Our equipment has been designed size appropriate to entertain and challenge teenage users.
Please read the download below for more information of Fire and Vandalism.
Richter equipment has been successfully installed in a number of ‘challenging´ parks in deprived inner city areas. For example, Richter equipment has resided in Stationers Park, Haringey, London for over 20 years! It is in excellent condition with minimal maintenance.
Fear of Litigation - The most common reason play providers are risk averse in their playground decisions is fear of litigation. However, by using good procedures, the chances of a successful claim from an accident can be reduced to almost nil.
Please read the download below on how to Protect against Litigation.
As well as the professional craftsmanship involved in creating the play items, our office and installation teams follow through with the professionalism and are on hand to offer any help and guidance required.
