Today In Play
Timberplay has the pleasure of inviting you to join us on our forthcoming study tour taking in key new developments in play in London. Taking place on Tuesday 5th July from 3.30 pm, the tour will visit the prestigious newly refurbished play area at Jubilee Gardens, on the South Bank of the Thames situated adjacent to the London Eye. Designed by Timberplay, this site has been created specifically to cater for the huge number of young visitors that spend time playing here whilst taking in the sights. With an emphasis on durability, the play space has been newly refreshed with a wider variety of play experiences, all selected to offer graduated play opportunities and offer great opportunities for shared social play.
Looking at issues of Play Value, Maintenance, Risk and Safety, the tour shall be led by our resident play guru, Beth Cooper, who will draw our attention to the specific play features the design presents, which we expect will be demonstrated effectively by a large number of willing play participants. Anyone who has seen Beth speak before knows that she has an uncanny ability to explore play in an engaging and informative manner, and we have no doubt that the trip will be enlightening for all. Charlie Russell, Head Designer for Timberplay shall also be accompanying us, so can talk about the specific thinking behind the equipment choice and layout. We shall also be taking in other sites, which are in the process of being finalised.
The tour of the play spaces is expected to take us through until 7 pm, at which point we would like to invite all attendees to join us for drinks and a meal at a local restaurant; if you wish you can join us for the play tour only.
There are likely to be short distances for walking between sites. Please let me know if this is problematic for you, and we shall look for alternatives. A full itinerary will be issued in due course detailing all sites on the tour.
Places will be limited at this event, so please email our marketing team at marketing@timberplay.com, or call our offices on 0114 282 3474 for further information.
We have scheduled this to coincide with the Festival of Place, which is running the following day and evening on the 6th of July, which we are proud to attend as a selected supplier to a number of shortlisted projects.
Feel free to share this invite with other members of your organisation or associates.
